This work reflects on the fragile beginnings of becoming. At its center stands a figure whose mind blossoms into a tree bearing flowers and butterflies, symbols of growth, transformation, and the quiet promise of what is yet to come. While beauty flourishes from within, two surrounding figures gently conceal the face, suggesting that not everything destined to bloom is meant to be revealed immediately.
The hidden face becomes a metaphor for unrealized identity. Before we are recognized by the world, we first undergo an internal process of growth, shaped by reflection, patience, and time. Like a seed beneath the soil, our greatest potential develops long before it is visible.
As the opening work in the exhibition The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born, this piece introduces the central idea that true beauty is not simply an outward quality but a continual process of becoming. The flowers may already be in bloom, but the person they represent is still becoming.
